Salary: £63,000 + Pension + Paid Overtime

Days Based Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm

The Role

• Ensure a safe environment for all personnel who work in or visit any of our manufacturing facilities.
• Develop, lead and mentor a team of shift engineers, providing appraisal, coaching and performance management opportunities.
• Drive proactive, planned preventive maintenance to keep equipment meeting capacity demand and efficiency targets.
• Oversee reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Manage contractor performance on site for the most effective and efficient fixes.
• Support the introduction of new equipment to our market‑leading production facilities as part of our drive for innovation.
• Control the workload and capacity of the engineering team.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations as needed.
• Continue professional development through industry‑specific training.
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure audit readiness at all times.
• Work jointly with the projects engineering team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience within a similar people and stakeholder management role.
• Hands‑on engineering background required to provide technical support when needed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities across all areas.
