are excited to be working with an SEMH behavioural school in the Medway area who are looking to recruit a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
The school supports students from KS3
- KS5 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The school is set in a stunning picturesque location in Chatham, which adds to its unique and long running success.
You will be joining a close-knit team who support their staff as much as their students, making for a great working and learning environment.
To be considered for these roles it is essential that you have the following experience: Experience supporting SEN children within sports lessons.
Experience of supporting children/young adults with social and emotional support needs.
An understanding and ability to build trust and empathize with students that have had challenging backgrounds.
Experience supporting students within SEN school's or candidates with a mental health support/young offender's background would be strong candidates.
Being of a resilient and firm nature when necessary.
Duties: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students.
Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and personal development.
Support students in developing social skills and independence through mentoring and tutoring.
Collaborate with educators to adapt teaching materials and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers on individual performance.
Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
Foster effective communication with students, parents, and staff to enhance the educational experience.
