Machine Operator - Continental Shifts Location: Stockport Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off - 12 Hour Continental Shifts Job Type: Full-time   Job Overview   We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing company based in Stockport. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is mechanically minded, reliable, and able to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently Carry out basic machine setup and adjustments Perform routine quality checks on products Identify and report faults or maintenance issues Assist with basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs Ensure machinery and work areas are kept clean and organised Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies Complete production paperwork and shift reports accurately Work closely with maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime Requirements Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment preferred Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills Ability to work 12-hour continental shifts on a 4 on / 4 off rota Good attention to detail and quality standards Reliable with a strong work ethic Able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible attitude towards duties and shift requirements What We Offer Full-time permanent opportunity Consistent continental shift pattern Competitive rates of pay Training and development opportunities Supportive team environment Overtime opportunities where available Apply Please submit your CV and contact details for consideration
