Machine Operator - Pasteurising Area 📍 Location: Shrewsbury 💼 Employer: The Best Connection (on behalf of our client) The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an Operator - Pasteurising Area for one of our well-established clients based in Shrewsbury. ⚠️ Please note: Due to the location and early start times, candidates must have their own transport as there is no public transport available. Working Hours & Pay Monday to Friday 07:00am - 17:30pm Starting pay: £13.00 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience)➡️ This is a temporary to permanent opportunity ➡️ Future shift pattern will move to a 4 on / 4 off rota, including weekends - flexibility is essential Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring pasteurising machinery used for heat-treating liquid products Loading raw materials into the pasteurising system Checking temperatures, timings, and process controls to ensure food safety standards are met Carrying out quality checks (e.g. consistency, colour, contamination) Accurately recording production data and completing paperwork Cleaning and sanitising equipment in line with hygiene standards Following strict health & safety and food hygiene (HACCP) procedures Reporting any faults, issues, or inconsistencies to supervisors Supporting general production tasks when required Requirements ✅ Previous experience within a production or food manufacturing environment (essential) ✅ Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (essential) ✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes ✅ Reliable, with a good work ethic ✅ Able to commit to 12-hour shifts and future weekend work ✅ Own transport required due to locationThe Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
