Breakfast Chef - Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel - Oxford, Oxfordshire Salary: £13.50 - £14.30 per hour Location Description Situated in the heart of the historic university city of Oxford, this beautiful 17th-century coaching-inn looks over the Examination Halls and Magdalen Tower. Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dependable Breakfast Chef to join our hotel kitchen team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality breakfasts that set our guests up for the day, ensuring both buffet and cooked-to-order items are prepared to an excellent standard. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes (e.g. full English, eggs to order, pastries, continental options) Setting up and maintaining the breakfast service area Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when needed Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment Adhering to all food hygiene and health & safety regulations Working efficiently to meet busy service demands Requirements: Previous experience as a chef or cook (breakfast experience preferred) Ability to work early morning shifts (typically from 5:00/5:30 AM) Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and organisational skills A passion for food and attention to detail Troo Benefits Free Meals on Duty : Fuel your success with free meals on duty, ensuring you're nourished and ready to conquer challenges during your work hours.
