Job Title: MIS Analyst Monday to Friday Location : Erdington, Birmingham Pay: £14,05 per hour Job Summary Pertemps is recruiting for one of our clients for an MIS analyst for a Logistics company to be responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting operational data related to logistics activities such as inventory, transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment.

The role ensures accurate and timely management information to support decision-making, performance tracking, and continuous improvement in logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities Data Management & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on logistics KPIs Track and analyse: Order fulfilment & OTIF (On-Time-In-Full Inventory accuracy, ageing, and stock movement Inbound and outbound shipments Transport costs and utilisation Maintain dashboards using Excel / BI tools for management review Operational Support Coordinate with warehouse, transport, and planning teams to collect real-time operational data Monitor adherence to SLAs, turnaround time (TAT), and service levels Identify variances, root causes, and report exceptions Systems & Process Management Work on WMS (DLx, ProSku, AX) for data extraction and validation Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems Support system improvements, automation, and process optimisation initiatives Analysis & Decision Support Analyse trends in logistics performance and costs Provide insights to improve: Delivery performance Inventory optimisation Warehouse productivity Support leadership with ad-hoc reports and presentations Compliance & Documentation Maintain MIS documentation, SOPs, and reporting standards Support internal audits and compliance requirements Ensure confidentiality and data integrity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of MIS reports OTIF delivery performance Inventory accuracy and stock variance Logistics cost efficiency Data integrity and system compliance Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, xwzovoh Power Query) Working knowledge of: ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics / similar) WMS / TMS Data analysis and reporting skills Power BI / Tableau (preferred) Functional Knowledge Logistics & Supply Chain processes Warehouse operations Transportation & distribution Inventory management principles Behavioural Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail Good communication and coordination abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Education & Experience 25 years of MIS or data management experience in logistics / supply chain Experience in warehouse or transport operations is an advantage
