A specialist SEN school in Reading is seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school supports pupils with a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, including trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, and moderate learning difficulties. In this role, you will: * Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs * Use therapeutic approaches and behaviour strategies to support learning * Assist teachers with classroom activities and student engagement * Work closely with on-site specialists to provide tailored support This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children who have complex needs, while developing a strong understanding of SEN and SEMH support strategies.
