Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per year (depending on experience)
About Us
We are a growing coach and transport operator based in Wembley, providing private hire, corporate, school, and contract transport services. We are looking for an experienced and motivated PSV Coach Operations Manager to lead our daily operations and help drive the business forward.
The Role
As PSV Coach Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our coach fleet, ensuring services run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry regulations.
You will work closely with drivers, maintenance providers, customers, and senior management to maintain high service standards while maximising fleet utilisation and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operation of the coach fleet and transport services.
* Plan and coordinate vehicle and driver schedules.
* Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations, and driver hours legislation.
* Monitor vehicle availability and fleet utilisation.
* Recruit, train, and manage drivers and operational staff.
* Handle customer enquiries and operational issues.
* Maintain accurate operational records and compliance documentation.
* Liaise with workshop and maintenance providers regarding inspections, servicing, and repairs.
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
* Produce operational reports and performance metrics.
* Support business growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in coach, bus, or PSV transport operations management.
* Strong understanding of UK PSV regulations and compliance requirements.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Experience managing drivers and transport staff.
* Ability to work under pressure and solve operational issues effectively.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport scheduling systems.
Desirable Qualifications
* Transport Manager CPC (National or International).
* Experience managing fleets of 20+ vehicles.
* Knowledge of private hire, corporate, school, and contract transport operations.
* Experience with fleet management and telematics systems.
