Job ID: 2486Salary: 60-70k+pkgLocation: East LondonRegion: LondonWe are currently seeking a Project Manager to work for a major civil engineering contractor based in Central London working on a major station upgrade valued at 30m, With the site office based in East London.Your role will involveResponsible for the business results of the projectProject organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilitiesCommunicate all project requirements to the project teamSet and agree challenging stretch targets for all team membersIncorporate client service-providers in the project team and allocate and define workEstablish communications with Client/RepresentativeOrganize the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third partiesImplement the management system within the project teamLead HSQE managementApprove Project IMS Plan and appoint dutiesEvaluate opportunities and risksOrganise planning managementEstablish procurement deadlinesReview and revision of contract programmeEstablish works packagesCooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub-contractors and suppliersContract management and supervision of project progressResponsible for project controllingChange management processCollaborate in the recruitment of staffIdentify and coordinate training requirementsExternal depiction of the project in consultation with the HUK management.Assist in staff recruitment.Represent the project to internal stakeholders with period commercial and delivery reportingCollaborate in the recruitment of staffIdentify and coordinate training requirementsExternal depiction of the project in consultation with the HUK management.What we are looking forDegree/HND in Civil Engineering or similarPrevious experience on large scale Rail projectsCommercial, Financial, Project and Programme management experienceExcellent leadership and tendering skillsGood level of numeracy and IT skills – MS Office, Word, Excel etcStrong team player who is self-motivated and able to communicate with people at all levelsExcellent organisation and time management skillsFull UK Drivers licenceIn order to be considered for this position, you must be eligible to work on a permanent basis in the UK (EU, Indefinite Leave to Remain or British Passport) and come from a Civil Engineering background, with a solid understanding of Network Rail, London Underground and Transport for London procedures.
