ASD Teaching Assistant - Slough
Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional needs?
A specialist SEN school in Slough is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers who want to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting students with ASD and a range of special educational needs.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
Support students with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement throughout the school day.
We're looking for an ASD Teaching Assistant who is:
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people with ASD.
A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within SEN.
Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, therapy, or education.
Able to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Setting: Specialist SEN School
Start Date: September
Pay: £93-£110 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Full-time
