Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Monday to Friday Days (7.30-4pm and 3pm finish on Fridays) Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Salary: up to £42-45k We are looking for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Ash Vale Position Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the Mechanical maintenance of our diverse range of machinery, from vintage 1950s equipment to modern automated lines, remains operational and efficient. You will also play a key role in the maintenance team. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Role  Key Responsibilities • Machine Maintenance: Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a varied range of machinery, including grinding, milling, and turning machines, sintering furnaces, and dedicated wire-making lines. • Machine Builds: Actively participate in the mechanical assembly and build-out of our bespoke welding machines at our factory for testing and across the globe at client sites for final installation and commissioning. • Site-Wide Planning: Take full ownership of the site-wide maintenance schedule, implementing a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program to reduce reactive downtime. • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement mechanical and electrical improvements across the site to enhance safety, reduce downtime, and increase production efficiency. • Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team and heads of production to prioritise workloads and ensure smooth operation. What We're Looking For in the Electrical Maintenance Engineer • Mechanical Expertise: Strong, hands-on mechanical background with proven experience in maintaining manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders). • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Education & Qualifications • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds qualification.
