Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Technician to join our vehicle maintenance team.
The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy vehicles and associated equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with legal and company standards.
Prepare vehicles for MOTs and carry out safety checks.
Maintain accurate service logs and complete job documentation.
Collaborate with the workshop team to minimise vehicle downtime.
Candidate Requirements Hands-on experience with HGVs, waste/refuse vehicles, or similar plant machinery.
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently in a busy workshop environment while following safety procedures. xwzovoh
Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is advantageous but not required.
