Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Salary: £26,332 – £40,838 actual salary (MPS–UPS)
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 26 hours per week

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference to children who need additional support?
We are recruiting for a Class Teacher to join a specialist SEMH primary school in Swindon, supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
This is a permanent, four-day-a-week opportunity within a supportive specialist setting. The successful teacher will take responsibility for a KS1 or KS2 class, although the specific year group will be confirmed by the school. The Role
You will be responsible for:
* Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons
* Teaching across the KS1 or KS2 curriculum
* Differentiating learning to meet individual pupil needs
* Setting appropriate learning targets based on prior attainment
* Assessing and tracking pupil progress
* Creating a positive, structured and stimulating classroom environment
* Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils' emotional and social development
* Working closely with Teaching Assistants and other professionals
* Developing positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

About You
We would like to hear from teachers who have:
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Experience teaching within KS1 and/or KS2
* Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
* Good classroom and positive behaviour management skills
* Experience using assessment to support pupil progress
* Experience working effectively with Teaching Assistants
* The ability to adapt lessons for different abilities and needs
* A patient, flexible and resilient approach

Previous experience within SEMH, SEN or another specialist setting would be advantageous, but applications are also welcomed from strong mainstream primary teachers interested in moving into specialist education.
