Teacher of Drama
Location: Surrey (excellent transport links)
Contract: Permanent, starting September 2026
Salary: Main Scale / Upper Scale (Fringe)
Our client, a successful and highly regarded 11–18 academy in Surrey, is seeking to appoint a passionate and creative Teacher of Drama to join their vibrant and forward-thinking Performing Arts faculty from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons, inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5.
The school has a strong reputation for both academic achievement and a rich extracurricular programme, with Drama playing a key role in school productions and enrichment activities.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Have experience teaching Key Stage 5 (desirable, but not essential)
* Have a genuine passion for Drama and the performing arts
* Be committed to delivering engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons
* Enjoy working with young people and inspiring confidence and self-expression
* Be keen to contribute to extracurricular activities, including school productions
* Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive outlook to the role
* Be reflective and committed to their own professional development
