A "Good" Primary School located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets are on the hunt for an Assistant SENCO. This is a September 2026 role, full time and employed directly through the school.

The role of an Assistant SENCO will be the following:

• Teaching in an ARP with 6 children in (children are non-verbal / ASD)
• Working & leading an experienced & strong HLTA
• Supporting EHCP applications - writing & carrying out assessments
• Initially working within the Primary School with a view in the long-term venturing over to their Nursery School and providing additional SEN support & leadership

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assistant SENCO

• Teaching in an ARP with 6 children in (children are non-verbal / ASD)
• Working & leading an experienced & strong HLTA

• Initially working within the Primary School with a view in the long-term venturing over to their Nursery School and providing additional SEN support & leadership

• September 2026 start
• Full time / school-based contract
• MPS1 - MPS6 + SEN Point
• Located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must be confident in working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of SEN is required
• QTS is required
• Must be able to plan & teach engaging lesson for SEN pupils
• Carry out data / admin tasks to a high level
• Must be able to work within a large team
