About the role
Links Country Park Hotel is a busy, well-established hotel offering a popular main restaurant and a vibrant Sports Bar kitchen. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food and consistent service standards to both hotel guests and local customers. The Role We are seeking an experienced *Sous Chef* to support the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of our busy main kitchen and Sports Bar operation. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong kitchen management experience, high standards, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Executive Chef in managing both the main kitchen and Sports Bar kitchen operations
* Support menu development and daily specials
* Supervise and motivate the kitchen team
* Ensure consistent food quality and presentation standards
* Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
* Support rota planning and labour control
* Maintain full compliance with food safety and kitchen Health & Safety regulations
* Step up to lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence About You * Proven experience in a Sous Chef or senior CDP role within a busy kitchen
* Demonstrable kitchen management experience
* Fully conversant with kitchen Health & Safety and food safety regulations (HACCP)
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* Ability to work under pressure during peak service
* Flexible to work evenings and weekends
* Has a proven great work ethic and reliability You will work 5 days out of 7 – please note that this does include working weekends and evenings.
