Higher Level Teaching Assistant

HLTA - Primary School | Pimlico | September Start A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Pimlico area is seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HLTA looking to take on a varied role with a strong teaching element within a supportive school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers across the school and will be required to confidently lead lessons and cover classes when needed. The school is looking for someone proactive, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children's learning and development. The role will include: Delivering planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 Covering classes in the absence of teachers Supporting pupils across a range of abilities and needs Working collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders Providing targeted intervention support where required Helping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environmentThe ideal candidate will have: A recognised HLTA qualification (essential) Previous experience within a UK primary school Confidence teaching whole classes independently Strong behaviour management skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities A nurturing and adaptable approachThis is a full-time role starting in September and would suit an experienced HLTA looking for a long-term opportunity within a friendly and supportive school community.
