RE Teacher (Religious Education) - KS3 & KS4 - Long-Term Supply - St Helens
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a well-regarded secondary school in the St Helens area to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher / Religious Education Teacher for a long-term supply opportunity. This role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until July. You will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4. Daily pay is up to £232.56 per day, depending on experience.
About the role (RE Teacher - St Helens)
Teach engaging and well-structured Religious Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Encourage pupils to explore religious and non-religious worldviews, ethical issues and philosophical questions through balanced and respectful discussion.
Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and EAL.
Assess student progress and provide clear feedback to support development in knowledge, evaluation and extended writing skills.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment in line with whole-school expectations.

The Religious Education department
The RE department delivers a broad and engaging curriculum designed to develop pupils' understanding of different faiths, beliefs and ethical perspectives. Students are encouraged to think critically, debate respectfully and make informed connections between religion, society and contemporary issues. At KS3 and KS4, pupils explore a range of theological and moral topics that help prepare them for life in modern Britain and the wider world.
What we're looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Recent experience teaching RE / Religious Education in a UK secondary school, ideally across KS3 and KS4.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly.
Confidence delivering lessons that promote discussion, critical thinking and respectful debate.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Pay and benefits
