Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Bridgwater | £42,000 per annum bonus | 37.5 hours per week | Shift-based Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing environment.

This essential role focuses on ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of production machinery, equipment, and site facilities through proactive maintenance, rapid fault resolution, and technical collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across machinery and site infrastructure.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective repairs.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues impacting production.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Systems Engineering and other departments to improve reliability and resolve complex faults.
Adhere to all safety regulations and site procedures.
Complete actions from the Corrective Action Report (CAR) system.
Communicate maintenance schedules and machine handovers effectively.
Support commissioning, upgrades, and configuration of machinery and facilities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and fault analysis.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Requirements Time-served engineering apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of 3-phase 415V electrical systems.
PC literate with experience using maintenance management systems (e.g.
CMMS).
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and decision-making abilities.
High attention to detail and a methodical approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hands-on experience with equipment design and build.
Commitment to safe working practices.
Shift Pattern & Benefits Alternating early and late shifts: Monday to Thursday: 6am
- 2pm / 2pm
- 10pm Friday: 6am
- 1pm / 1pm
- 8pm Approved overtime available.
