The Role As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of groundworks and civil engineering projects.

You will play a key role in securing new business, working closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure robust and profitable pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities Preparing detailed cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering tenders Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Producing take-offs for earthworks, drainage, foundations, and external works Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options Attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams during the bid process Supporting handover of successful tenders to the delivery team Requirements Proven experience as an Estimator within groundworks, civil engineering, or infrastructure Strong understanding of residential infrastructure, roads, drainage, and earthworks packages Ability to interpret technical xwzovoh drawings and specifications Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Full UK driving licence Whats on Offer £70,000 £80,000 basic salary Company car or car allowance Bonus scheme Pension and benefits package Strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work Long-term career progression within a growing contractor
