Trainee Account Manager 📍 Edinburgh or Fife 💷 Up to £30,000 DOE 📄 Full-Time | Permanent We’re recruiting for a Trainee Account Manager to join a well-established and growing business within the commercial catering sector. This is a great opportunity for someone from a customer service, sales, account coordination or client-facing background who is ready to take the next step into Account Management. You don’t need to already be an Account Manager – we’re looking for someone confident, organised, commercially minded and great with customers who wants to learn and develop. The Role * Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of customers. * Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and ongoing requirements. * Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals and customer communications. * Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects, services and customer requests are delivered on time. * Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally. * Identify opportunities to grow and develop existing accounts. * Support renewals, pricing reviews, upselling and cross-selling. * Maintain accurate customer records, activity notes and pipeline information. * Work closely with sales, operations, finance, procurement and service teams. * Ensure customer actions and commitments are followed through from start to finish. What We’re Looking For * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * Confident and professional when dealing with customers. * Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities. * Good commercial awareness and an interest in developing this further. * Proactive approach to problem solving. * Strong attention to detail. * Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning CRM/business systems. * Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team. Previous experience within customer service, sales, account coordination, hospitality, commercial catering, facilities, equipment, construction or another B2B environment would be beneficial.
