A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Hillingdon is seeking a motivated and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026, with additional Head of Year responsibility available as part of the role. The year group is flexible for the right candidate, making this a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS2 teacher looking to take the next step into middle leadership.
The school is a two-form entry primary with a strong sense of community and a diverse pupil intake. Staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where high expectations and pupil wellbeing go hand in hand. About the Role
As a KS2 Teacher & Head of Year, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Support pupils in developing strong skills across reading, writing, mathematics, and foundation subjects
• Prepare pupils effectively for statutory assessments where applicable
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure high standards of achievement
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Lead and support your year group team, promoting collaboration and consistency across planning and teaching
• Work closely with senior leaders to support pupil progress, behaviour, and year group outcomes
• Mentor and support colleagues within the year team where appropriate
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and whole-school events
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Strong experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Previous middle leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Year role
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
• High expectations for pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
• A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development
• A collaborative and proactive team player
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
