About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker (SSW) to join a Social Care team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality social work practice, manage complex cases and support positive outcomes for adults, children, young people and families.
You will use your professional expertise to assess needs, manage risk, develop effective support plans and work collaboratively with individuals, families and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a complex caseload and undertake comprehensive assessments.
Develop, implement and review person-centred care and support plans.
Safeguard individuals and respond appropriately to identified risks and concerns.
Apply professional judgement and make timely, evidence-based decisions.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies and other professionals.
Advocate for service users and ensure their views, wishes and strengths are central to practice.
Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
Participate in meetings, reviews and multi-agency planning.
Support less experienced social workers and contribute to high-quality practice within the team.
Ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, policies, procedures and professional standards.
Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
A recognised Social Work qualification and relevant professional registration.
Significant experience working within Social Care.
Strong assessment, care planning, safeguarding and risk management skills.
Experience managing complex cases and working with a range of professionals.
Excellent communication, recording and report-writing skills.
The ability to work independently and make sound professional decisions.
A commitment to strengths-based, person-centred and outcome-focused practice.
The ability to build positive relationships with service users, families and partner agencies.
