The opportunity

Castle Peak Group is supporting YMCA Lincolnshire with the appointment of a Head of Tackling Homelessness, an important senior leadership role responsible for the operational delivery and continued development of its homelessness services.

YMCA Lincolnshire provides 177 supported and emergency accommodation units across Lincoln, supporting around 400 people at risk of homelessness each year. Its services include emergency shelter, hostel and outreach accommodation alongside 24/7 wrap around support, helping people towards greater stability and independence.

Reporting to the Director of Services and Impact and operating as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strong, compassionate and values led leadership across the Tackling Homelessness portfolio.

The role

You will have responsibility for the quality, performance and development of YMCA Lincolnshire's homelessness services, ensuring positive outcomes for residents remain at the heart of delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the operational delivery of Tackling Homelessness services.
• Leading, developing and motivating managers and teams.
• Ensuring consistently high standards of service and positive resident outcomes.
• Contributing to organisational strategy and service development.
• Developing tactical service plans and supporting future growth.
• Contributing to financial planning and managing service budgets.
• Ensuring services operate in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.
• Using impact and outcome data to inform service improvement.
• Developing strong relationships with local authorities, funders, homelessness services and other partners.
• Contributing as an active member of YMCA Lincolnshire's Senior Leadership Team.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and values led leader with a strong understanding of supported and/or social housing and the needs of vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness.

You will ideally bring:

• Significant leadership experience, ideally within a charity or purpose led environment.
• Experience of leading complex and diverse public services.
• Direct experience within supported and/or social housing.
• Understanding of homelessness and the complex needs of vulnerable adults.
• Experience of managing funded projects and complex budgets.
• Understanding of local authority contracts relating to supported or emergency accommodation.
• Strong people leadership and experience of creating a positive workplace culture.
• Excellent communication, influencing and partnership building skills.
• The ability to translate strategic and tactical plans into high quality operational delivery.
• A demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.

You should hold, or be working towards, a Level 5 Housing Qualification. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required.
