Proposals Engineer

We’re looking for a Proposals Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Poynton. This is a role suited to someone with experience in engineering manufacturing, planning, commercial or business development, as you will be managing RFQs, preparing cost estimates and supporting bids for bespoke engineering projects. What’s on offer? * £40,000 – £50,000 per year * Mon - Fri | Multiple shift patterns available * 7:30am -4pm OR 9:30am - 6pm * Early finish on Fridays (12pm OR 2pm) * Overtime available * 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and flex days * Company pension scheme * Health cashback scheme * Discounts * Training and development opportunities What will you be doing as a Proposals Engineer? * Managing RFQs from concept through to completion * Reviewing tender documents, specifications and customer requirements * Gathering data and holding bid kick-off meetings with stakeholders * Checking engineering capability, pricing, labour, parts and support requirements * Preparing cost estimates, pricing schedules and commercial proposals * Coordinating bid activity across internal departments * Compiling, reviewing and submitting tender documentation * Identifying commercial risks and supporting mitigation plans * Attending customer clarification meetings and presentations where required * Supporting tender vetting with senior executives * Sending offer letters to customers * Managing multiple bids ranging from £5,000 to £10 million * Maintaining accurate bid documentation and records * Supporting successful bid handovers to the project delivery team * Ensuring bids comply with company procedures, quality standards and industry regulations What will you need? * At least 3 years’ experience in this role or a similar position * Engineering manufacturing or planning background * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word * Ability to use basic formulas in Excel Apply today Apply today or speak with Jack at KPJ Group for more information between 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
