Chartered Legal Executive or Solicitor
Plymouth, Devon

This leading Legal 100 law firm is seeking a Chartered Legal Executive/Solicitor to join its Plymouth office & manage a varied caseload of industrial disease matters working as part of a well-established litigation team

You will take responsibility for progressing claims through the litigation process, from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, with regular client contact and exposure to complex cases. In particular you will act against the MOD, acting on behalf of ex/military personnel who suffer from Noise‑induced hearing loss and/or Non‑freezing cold injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of claimant industrial disease files
  • Progress claims from pre‑action stage through to resolution or trial
  • Liaise with counsel, medical experts and other professionals
  • Attend hearings where appropriate
  • Support settlement discussions and ADR processes
  • Assist in the supervision and development of trainees and paralegals

What do you need:

  • To be a Qualified Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) or Solicitor
  • Either be newly qualified or have up to 3yrs PQE
  • Experience running your own Industrial Disease caseload
