Audit Senior – Manchester Manchester | Hybrid Working | ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part-Qualified Are you an Audit Senior looking for a role where you can take real ownership of audits, work directly with clients and continue progressing within a growing accountancy practice? I’m working exclusively with a forward-thinking accountancy firm in Manchester that is looking to strengthen its audit team with an experienced Audit Senior. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being client-facing and wants more than simply completing sections of an audit file. You’ll be involved throughout the audit process, lead work on-site and have the opportunity to support and develop more junior members of the team. The role As Audit Senior, you’ll work closely with Audit Managers and Directors across a varied portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include: * Planning and executing external audits from start to completion * Leading audit assignments and coordinating the onsite audit team * Working across a varied portfolio, including owner-managed businesses * Building strong relationships and becoming a key point of contact for clients * Identifying issues and communicating findings effectively to managers and clients * Coaching and supporting trainees and Semi Seniors * Ensuring audits are completed efficiently and to a high standard * Getting involved in the wider development of the audit team What are we looking for? You’ll ideally be: * ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified * Experienced within external audit in an accountancy practice * Comfortable leading or taking ownership of audit assignments * Experienced across a range of audit clients, including OMBs * Confident dealing directly with clients * Someone who enjoys supporting and developing junior team members * Comfortable working with modern accounting and audit technology * Ambitious and looking for a firm where you can continue developing your career Knowledge of CCH would be beneficial but isn't essential.
