Principal Engineering Manager 💷 Up to £55,000 📍 Bristol (Outskirts) This is a hands-on senior role focused on mechanical design, FEA, product development, drawing control & technical leadership across a range of specialist fabricated & hydraulic products used in demanding environments. We're seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and design team, developing specialist fabricated & hydraulic products used in demanding environments. Working closely with manufacturing, quality, & suppliers, you'll drive product development, oversee mechanical design & FEA activities, & lead continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring & developing your team. 📋Key Responsibilities Lead & develop the engineering/design team Drive mechanical design, product development, & FEA analysis Oversee SolidWorks models, drawings, BOMs, & engineering change control Support production, quality, & supplier technical requirements Improve existing products & develop innovative new solutions ⚡What You'll Bring Strong mechanical design engineering background Experience leading engineers or design teams Advanced SolidWorks & FEA skills Knowledge of fabricated, welded, & structural assemblies Understanding of design for manufacture & engineering documentationDesirable: Experience within agricultural, automotive, off-highway machinery, hydraulics, or vehicle attachment systems.
