Creche Project Worker ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Community Venues Salary: £23.52 - £23.52 per hour Hours: 0 hour contract We are looking for a motivated and creative Project Worker to join our Community Learning and Development team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to support and deliver child-centred, innovative community-based creche provision across the city, supporting ESOL and Family learning classes provided by the Community Lifelong Learning ESOL Team. Creche Project worker will work alongside community members, partner organisations and colleagues to develop and maintain safe and enriching provision for children attending our creches. You will support staff and ensure safety and quality across all provisions. This role is important in supporting New Scot families with community participation, inclusion and capacity building. Candidates will be expected to travel across the city. Has a positive attitude towards equality, diversity and inclusion Can work creatively and flexibly to meet community needs Is confident working with children and adults, including vulnerable groups Tynecastle Community Wing, Tynecastle High School (Tuesday lunchtimes, Thursday mornings) West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre (Tuesday mornings, Thursday mornings) Leith Community Centre (Monday mornings) Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre (Monday mornings) South Queensferry Community Centre (Tuesday mornings) This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
