Secondary Teaching Assistant Opportunities – RCT Area Rhondda Cynon Taf (and surrounding areas) Full-time & Part-time Roles Available Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Secondary Teaching Assistants to support schools across the RCT area, including mainstream secondary schools, behaviour provisions, and specialist SEN settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people, especially those who may need additional guidance with behaviour or learning needs. The Role: Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3–KS5 Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils Work with students in mainstream classrooms, behaviour bases, and SEN schools Support pupils with additional learning needs (ALN), autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable experience) Confident supporting challenging behaviour and SEN needs Positive, resilient, and proactive attitude Strong communication and relationship-building skills Flexible and adaptable approach to different school settings Essential Requirements: ✅ DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new DBS ✅ Must be able to drive or travel up to 1 hour via public transport ✅ Right to work in the UK What Teaching Personnel Offers: Competitive daily pay rates Flexible working to suit your availability Ongoing CPD and training opportunities Dedicated consultant support Opportunities to gain experience across a variety of school settings Whether you’re experienced in education or looking to transition into a school-based role, we want to hear from you!
