GCP Engineer - Outside IR35

Key responsibilities

Design, build and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins) Deploy and run containerised workloads on GKE and Cloud Run Set up landing zones, resource hierarchy, networking (VPC, Shared VPC, Interconnect/VPN) and IAM Apply security best practice: least-privilege IAM, VPC Service Controls, Secret Manager, KMS Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging Support migration of workloads from on-premise or other clouds into GCP Optimise cloud cost and performance Produce clear documentation and hand over knowledge to the client team Essential skills and experience [4]+ years' cloud engineering experience, with at least [2] years hands-on in GCP Strong Terraform skills, including module design and remote state management Solid experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker Good knowledge of core GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC CI/CD pipeline build and automation Scripting in Python, Bash or Go Linux administration and networking fundamentals Track record of delivering as a contractor in client-facing environments Desirable Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow or other GCP data services Policy-as-code or security tooling (OPA, Forseti, Security Command Center) Helm, Argo CD or other GitOps tooling Experience in [client sector, e.g.
