About the role
Are you an experienced engineering or building services professional with a background in planned shutdowns, compliance, and technical facilities management?
We're recruiting for a Shutdown Supervisor to oversee the planning and delivery of biannual maintenance shutdowns across a portfolio of 20 high-containment facilities. Based in Weybridge, this is an excellent opportunity to lead engineering teams, manage contractors, and ensure critical
maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory requirements.

The Role
As Shutdown Supervisor, you will:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee biannual shutdown programmes across a portfolio of high-containment facilities.
Lead engineering teams and specialist contractors, ensuring statutory compliance, safety, and contract KPI delivery.
Manage stakeholder and client communications throughout the shutdown lifecycle, from planning through to project completion.
Oversee maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and building services systems, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
Drive risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout every phase of the shutdown programme. You
To be successful in the role of Shutdown Supervisor, you'll bring:
A City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Proven experience delivering planned shutdowns, engineering projects, or technical facilities maintenance within commercial or critical environments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services, PPM, statutory compliance, and risk management.
Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills, with a full UK driving licence. What's in it for you?
