Maintenance Engineer (Multi‑Skilled) Location: Royal Leamington Spa Salary: £42,000-£47,000 + excellent benefits Hours: 7:00-16:00 Mon-Thu, 7:00-12:00 Fri (flexible start/finish times) About the Role A leading hydraulic‑systems manufacturer is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support production operations and maximise equipment uptime across multiple value streams. This is a hands‑on role involving planned maintenance, reactive fault‑finding, small facilities tasks, and supporting installation projects. There is a clear development pathway into Maintenance Manager for engineers who demonstrate strong capability and leadership. Key Responsibilities Deliver planned and reactive maintenance in line with IATF16949 requirements. Fault‑find on hydraulic/pneumatic test rigs, circuits, and electrical control systems (3‑phase, motors, pumps). Manage contractors and issue work permits. Support 8D and RCPS problem‑solving to reduce downtime and prevent repeat failures. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment. Use and improve Maximo (CMMS) for maintenance planning and inventory control. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and customer‑specific quality requirements. Carry out small‑scale facilities repairs, refurbishments, and installations when required. Maintain and support external certifications and audits.Essential Skills & Experience Strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance. Ability to fault‑find across hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently. Electrical qualification required. Desirable Skills PLC interrogation and fault‑finding. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver them on time.
