Assistant Accountant Leeds | £30,000 - £35,000 Hybrid Are you an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are partnering with an exciting and rapidly growing Leeds-based business that is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support its expanding finance function. Working closely with a knowledgeable finance team, you'll gain broad exposure across management accounts, reporting, and financial analysis whilst playing a key role in the company's continued growth. The Role As Assistant Accountant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the finance department and assist with producing accurate financial information to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities: * Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts * Producing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances * Supporting month-end and year-end close processes * Accruals, prepayments, and journal postings * Assisting with cash flow forecasting and reporting * Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities * Processing and reconciling bank transactions * Maintaining fixed asset registers * Assisting with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements * Producing financial reports and analysis for senior management * Supporting external audits and liaising with stakeholders * Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls About You We're looking for a proactive and driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their finance career.
