We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Manager to join our team based at our National Laboratory. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in establishing and leading a brand-new Technical Centre, supporting innovation and excellence across the business. Additional travel will be expected; of which a company car will be included. What You’ll Be Doing As a Laboratory Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing the laboratory team while overseeing the day-to-day running of the laboratory Managing the laboratory facility and site health, safety and security Ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service to internal customers Working closely with Regional and Area Technical Managers to support innovation and technical development Delivering multi-disciplinary technical training across the business Supporting the technical and personal development of the team Identifying future testing requirements and planning resources accordingly Driving the strategic development of laboratory systems and infrastructure Managing laboratory budgets effectively and efficiently Maintaining and improving laboratory IT systems Building and managing strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors Driving performance and quality, managing KPIs Investigating new methods and equipment to enhance accuracy and efficiency What We Are Looking For We’re looking for a confident, experienced leader who can inspire teams and drive technical excellence.
