Caretaker / Key Holder Location: Solihull Pay Rate: £13.94 per hour Contract: Full Time, Temporary Ongoing About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Key Holder to join our team in Solihull on a full-time, temporary ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or maintenance professional to play a key role in ensuring facilities remain secure, safe, and well-maintained. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, responding to maintenance issues, carrying out minor repairs, and acting as a trusted key holder. Key Responsibilities Open and lock up facilities in line with operational requirements. Act as a designated key holder, ensuring buildings are secure at all times. Carry out routine inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Respond promptly to maintenance calls and repair requests. Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties. Liaise with contractors and other service providers as required. Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site. Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and operational. Report any safeguarding, security, or maintenance issues to management. Essential Requirements Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or similar role. Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks. Good understanding of health and safety procedures. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently. Flexible approach to working hours and site requirements. Applicants MUST hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
