About the role
An excellent opportunity for an experienced EIA consultant to join one of the most forward-thinking environmental consultancies in the UK. As a Principal Consultant, you’ll play a key role in leading and coordinating EIA projects for a diverse range of development and infrastructure clients. You’ll work closely with an established team of specialists, supporting junior colleagues, shaping project strategies and helping to maintain an excellent track record of delivery.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands‑on role within a friendly, knowledgeable team. You’ll have the freedom to influence projects from early feasibility through to consent, and to help guide the continued growth of a modern, values‑driven consultancy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and leading EIA projects from concept through to submission
- Coordinating technical specialists and ensuring high‑quality deliverables
- Attending client meetings and maintaining strong working relationships
- Providing clear, practical advice on environmental and planning issues
- Assisting with project management to ensure delivery on time and within budget
- Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues as part of a collaborative team
About you:
- Strong EIA background with experience managing multi‑disciplinary projects
- Excellent understanding of UK planning and consenting processes
- Confident communicator and client manager
- A team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others
- Ideally chartered or working towards chartership
