Interim Head of Health & Safety Location: Central London Duration: 6 months initially Day Rate: £500 - £600 per day Sector: Commercial Property A leading commercial property business is looking for an experienced Interim Head of Health & Safety to take ownership of its health and safety strategy across a significant commercial property portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the Health & Safety function across the property portfolio. Develop and implement H&S strategy, policies and governance. Ensure compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulatory requirements. Provide expert advice to senior leadership, property and facilities teams. Oversee risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident management. Manage and develop relationships with external consultants, contractors and stakeholders. Drive a proactive health and safety culture across the organisation. Report on H&S performance, risks and key actions to senior management. Experience Required Proven experience operating at Head of Health & Safety / senior H&S level. Strong background within commercial property, real estate, FM or a similar built-environment environment. Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice. Experience managing health and safety across a complex property portfolio. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Board and senior leadership level. Chartered or equivalent professional H&S qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma / CMIOSH) highly desirable
