This position is available at both our Lostock and Dalton sites. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!Vacancy DetailsThe purpose of this role is to deliver code-compliant, high-quality structural steelwork solutions that meet client requirements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgetKey Tasks & AccountabilitiesHave a sound understanding of engineering principlesBe able to work with external clients and internal stakeholders to produce practical design solutionsCarry out structural analysis and design to produce calculations for building regulations submissionProduce detailed design sketches to convey to draughtsperson with due regard to buildability and health & safetyLiaise with internal and external design teams to ensure that the design brief is clear, and a compliant design is producedAssess, design and clearly define temporary works requirementsEnsure compliance with the company operating procedures, quality assurance, statutory safety legislation and our contractual responsibilitiesTake responsibility for all technical aspects of a project and provide assistance to junior engineersRequired Skills and Experience: Extensive knowledge of structural steelwork design including complex solutions and temporary works solutionsExperience in Design Management A good understanding of buildability issues on major construction sites as well as in the fabrication shop.Required Qualifications:Degree or Masters Degree in civil / structural engineering Preferably Chartered Structural Engineer MIStructEWhat We OfferAt Severfield, we’re all about doing the right thing, so as you’d expect, we offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits packages.We are an equal opportunities employer and actively encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets to apply.
