Manufacturing Operative

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Operative looking for a new role within a busy engineering environment? Have you Got experience in a machine shop or manufacturing setting?   We're looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join a busy engineering and manufacturing company based un Southam. You'll play an important role in making sure components are properly finished, prepared and ready for the next stage of production, while also supporting the wider machine shop and production team.   This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in getting things right and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.   You must have a valid driving license as you will also be delivering and collecting components from subcontractors   Benefits Salary up to £32,000 Hours of work: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 4pm finish on a Friday Location: Southam Varied role within an engineering/manufacturing environment Opportunity to develop your manufacturing skills Hands-on work across the machine shop and production areas Opportunity to work with an experienced engineering team   Duties/Responsibilities De-burring and finishing manufactured components to a high standard Checking parts are free from burrs and swarf and meet presentation standards Setting, logging and storing tooling and workholding Stamping materials for production Packing components safely for subcontractor processes Delivering and collecting components from subcontractors Carrying out basic checks and upkeep of the company vehicle Supporting production and warehouse duties when required Assisting with mechanical build when workload demands Keeping the machine shop, tooling and equipment clean and organised Completing relevant paperwork and production records   Skills/Experience required: We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and happy working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.   Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or a machine shop Experience with de-burring, finishing or presenting components Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings A full clean driving licence Good attention to detail and a methodical approach Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team Good communication skills A proactive attitude with the ability to manage changing priorities A willingness to learn new products, processes and procedures  If this sounds like you, please apply today!
