Job Title: Project ManagerRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Detailed Design Project Manager with a strong track record delivering major oil & gas projects in the Middle East, specifically within a Saudi Aramco environment.This role requires a commercially astute and technically competent leader capable of managing large-scale, complex EPC projects, ensuring full compliance with Aramco standards while delivering safely, on schedule, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead full EPC project lifecycle delivery (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) for large-scale energy projectsAct as the primary point of contact with Saudi Aramco, ensuring alignment with all standards, procedures, and approval processesDrive execution of projects in line with Aramco project delivery systems, gate processes, and quality requirementsManage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and vendors across multiple locationsDevelop, manage, and control project schedules (Primavera P6), budgets, and resource plansEnsure robust contract management, including EPC contracts, subcontractor oversight, and claims managementLead procurement strategies, supplier selection, and expediting for critical equipment and materialsOversee construction execution in the field, ensuring alignment with engineering deliverables and HSE standardsChampion HSE performance, ensuring strict adherence to Middle Eastern regulatory and Aramco safety requirementsMonitor progress, risks, and performance metrics, implementing mitigation and recovery plans where requiredDeliver regular reporting to senior stakeholders, including earned value, cost forecasting, and schedule performanceSupport pre-award activities, including tendering, bid evaluation, and project planning for EPC scopesRequired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline)Extensive EPC project management experience (10–15 years) within oil & gas / energy sectorDemonstrated delivery of major EPC projects in the Middle East (KSA experience highly preferred)Mandatory: Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco projects (direct or contractor side)Strong understanding of Aramco engineering standards, specifications (SAES, SADP), and project proceduresProven experience managing brownfield and/or greenfield developmentsTrack record of delivering projects valued at $100MStrong commercial experience, including cost control, contract administration, and claims managementKey Skills & CompetenciesDeep expertise in EPC execution strategy and project delivery modelsStrong leadership skills with experience managing large, multicultural teams in the Middle EastAdvanced planning and scheduling skills (Primavera P6 essential)Expertise in risk management, HAZID/HAZOP processes, and project controlsExcellent stakeholder management, particularly within Aramco and JV environmentsStrong understanding of construction practices, site execution, and commissioning processesAbility to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced project environmentsDesirablePMP or equivalent certificationPrevious experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC regionExperience with mega-projects, upstream, downstream, or gas processing facilitiesFamiliarity with digital project control systems and reporting toolsWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryOpportunity to work on flagship EPC projects in the Middle EastExposure to world-class oil & gas clients and large-scale developmentsCareer progression within a high-performing project delivery environmentAbout NRLThe NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
