Laboratory Chemist

Disclaimer: SLB completed the acquisition of ChampionX on July 16, 2025. We are looking for a Chemist to join our Analytical team in Aberdeen, UK on a temporary12 month basis. The candidate will be responsible for conducting water analysis, including scaling ions and scale inhibitor residuals, and will provide analytical support to the various product line groups within the wider Eastern Hemisphere RD&E team. What You Will Do:Conduct water analysis testing using a variety of analytical techniques, including ICP, IC and HPLC.Support senior team members with project-focused work and development of new test methodologies. Technical report writing and database management.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration scheduling and record-keeping. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of laboratory.Communicate effectively with team members to support efficient laboratory operations. Implement and follow Company safety practices, including COSHH and Risk Assessments. in Chemistry or related scienceGood computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Physical Demands: May involve long periods of standing working in a laboratory.
