Maths Teacher
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Full-time
Start: ASAP / September
Pay: £168 – £232 per day

We are currently seeking an engaging Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Portsmouth area. With Maths remaining one of the most in-demand subjects, this is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking a long-term role with potential permanent opportunities.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 while supporting students to achieve their full academic potential.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Supporting students of varying abilities and learning needs
• Monitoring progress and raising attainment
• Creating a positive and focused classroom environment
• Encouraging confidence and problem-solving skills
• Supporting curriculum delivery and departmental initiatives
• Promoting high expectations and positive behaviour
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
• Ability to engage and motivate learners
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Positive and proactive teaching approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
