Commercial Management Accountant

Distinct are pleased to be supporting a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed manufacturing business who are looking for a commercially focused Accountant to join their team.

The business is growing through a mix of organic growth and acquisition, with a number of further acquisitions in the pipeline.

This is a high-impact role, working closely with site leaders and operational teams to drive commercial decision-making across the group. 

Responsibilities:

• Business Partner with site leaders and operational teams day to day
• Work with sites to build forecasts based on order books, customer demand, pricing, mix, capacity, labour, materials, overheads and capital expenditure 
• Build budgets and forecasts around real order books, capacity and pricing
• Make the case on capital spend, from appraisal through to post-investment review
• Get involved in working capital — inventory, receivables, payables and cash 
• Help introduce and implement AI tools to help reporting, analysis and modelling productivity 

The successful candidate will be Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a strong commercial background - key stakeholder management and engagement experience is essential. 

There is also a strong preference for someone from a manufacturing background, who has experience around product costing and margin analysis. 

This is a fully remote role with some travel to sites. There is however a preference for someone to be based in Yorkshire
