Mobile Forklift Engineer - Aylesbury/Buckingham

We're recruiting a Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a team covering Aylesbury and Buckingham, servicing and maintaining a range of materials handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders and reach trucks.

You'll be working independently in a customer-facing role, so we're looking for someone with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, a proactive approach and the ability to manage their own workload.
Experience within forklift trucks, plant machinery, agricultural equipment, powered access or a similar industry would be ideal. A good Light Vehicle Technician background will also be considered.

The Role
Servicing, maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders and reach trucks.
Diagnosing faults and identifying repairs to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Completing service records, job sheets, parts orders and warranty work accurately.
Providing a professional, high-quality service to customers.
Planning and booking scheduled maintenance with customers.
Managing and prioritising your own workload effectively.
Ensuring chargeable work and scheduled servicing are completed within agreed timescales.
Keeping the service team updated on completed work, estimates, damage reports and outstanding jobs.
Carrying out lifting equipment inspections and PAT testing when required.
Following all site health and safety requirements and wearing appropriate PPE.
Undertaking other reasonable duties associated with the role.We're keen to hear from candidates with experience as a:

Previous experience servicing, repairing or maintaining forklifts, plant machinery, MHE or similar equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Experience with construction, agricultural or powered access machinery would be advantageous.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Good customer service and communication skills.
A full UK driving licence.Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: £35,000–£38,000, dependent on experience.
Overtime paid at 1.5x.
Monday to Friday working hours, 08:30–17:00.
Weekend call-out rota (to be discussed at interview).
