Development Planning Highway Technician

Our client, a specialist consultancy in the highways and transport planning sector, is seeking a Development Planning Highway Technician to support development planning projects on a contract basis. The role will focus on producing accurate technical drawings and CAD documentation for highway and infrastructure schemes. Key Responsibilities: Preparing highway and transport-related drawings using CAD software Supporting development planning and infrastructure design projects Producing detailed technical plans, layouts and associated documentation Working from engineers' designs, technical information and project specifications Updating drawings in line with design changes and client requirements Collaborating with engineers, transport planners and project teams Ensuring drawings are accurate, clearly presented and compliant with relevant standards Job Requirements: Experience working as a Highway Technician, CAD Technician or similar role within the highways sector Strong knowledge of highway design and development planning principles Proficiency in CAD software and the production of technical drawings Understanding of highway layouts, access arrangements and infrastructure plans Good attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information Effective communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team Contract Details: This is a contract opportunity supporting development planning and highways projects within a professional consultancy environment.
