Control Systems Engineer – Reading

A growing engineering team in Reading is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to lead the design, development and commissioning of advanced automation solutions.

The Role

Lead full project lifecycle delivery
Develop PLC/SCADA/HMI software (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider)
Produce specs, design docs and reports
Commission systems in live environments
Work across multidisciplinary teams and maintain high engineering standards

What You’ll Need

Degree in Control/Automation/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong project engineering and client‑facing skills
Experience in sectors xwzovoh like Food, Utilities, FMCG, Process or Materials Handling

Tech Exposure (Desirable)

PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES, industrial networking, OT systems, functional safety, OT cyber security
