SEND Teacher – SEMH / ASDTwickenham | Harrow | Neasden | Kings Cross Location: North West & West London Job Type: Full-Time | Long-Term / Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP / September 2026 We are currently recruiting for experienced and passionate SEND Teachers to work within specialist SEMH and ASD provisions supporting students across Years 7–11 in the Twickenham, Harrow, Neasden, and Kings Cross areas. These positions are ideal for teachers who are committed to supporting young people with additional needs and who thrive within specialist educational settings. About the Role As an SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged students with: * SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs * Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) * ADHD * Behavioural and communication needs * Additional learning barriers You will work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, therapists, and senior leadership to create a structured, positive, and nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver tailored lessons across KS3 and KS4 * Support students with SEMH and ASD needs * Manage behaviour positively using trauma-informed approaches * Differentiate learning to meet individual EHCP targets * Build strong relationships with pupils and staff * Monitor and track pupil progress and engagement * Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent * Experience working within SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings preferred * Strong behaviour management and classroom skills * Knowledge of ASD, SEMH, and trauma-informed practice desirable * Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach * Passion for supporting vulnerable young people What We Offer * Supportive and experienced SEN leadership teams * Ongoing CPD and specialist SEN training * Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements * Competitive rates of pay * Rewarding opportunities to make a genuine difference These roles would suit experienced SEN Teachers, SEMH Teachers, PRU Teachers, or mainstream teachers looking to transition into specialist education settings.
