Workday Finance Functional Consultant

Were delighted to partner with a leading London-based hedge fund as they continue to scale their global finance and technology operations. As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Workday Finance Functional Consultant to take ownership of Workday Financials across the business and play a key role in shaping their evolving operating model.

This is a high-visibility role within a lean, sophisticated environment where youll collaborate directly with senior stakeholders, including Finance leadership, Technology teams, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of Workday Financials, including modules such as Financial Accounting, Banking & Settlement, Procurement, and Expenses.
• Act as the Workday subject-matter expert for all finance-related functionality and integrations.
• Partner closely with Finance teams to gather requirements, diagnose issues, and deliver scalable solutions aligned to business needs.
• Support release management, testing cycles, documentation, and user training.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure Workday is fully leveraged to support the firms fast-paced operating environment.
• Work with third-party vendors, technical teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of enhancements and new features.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven background as a Workday Finance Functional Consultant
• Strong hands-on configuration experience across multiple Workday Financials modules.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical, well-designed Workday solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to operate in a front-office-adjacent environment.
• Experience in hedge funds, investment management, or similar high-performance environments is highly advantageous.
