Teaching Assistant – Secondary Special School
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with severe and complex learning needs?
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a purpose-built Secondary Special School that provides specialist facilities and tailored support for students with a range of complex needs.

Position: Teaching Assistant
Setting: Secondary Special School
Contract: Full-time
Needs: Severe and complex learning needs
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
Support young people with severe and complex learning needs
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Assist students with learning, communication, mobility, and independence
Support pupils in accessing specialist facilities and tailored learning activities
Provide personal care where required
Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Experience working with students with complex needs is essential
Comfortable supporting with personal care
Experience in a special school, care, or SEND setting is highly desirable
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must have the right to work in the UK
Must hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
